Sr AI Architect/Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Sr AI Architect/Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This role will shape and operationalize a secure enterprise AI platform, with a strong focus on production-grade generative AI and LLM applications. You will partner closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to design safe, scalable solutions that connect AI capabilities with enterprise data. The position also emphasizes observability, governance, and cost transparency to support reliable day-to-day operations and responsible adoption.

You will work across security, infrastructure, and business groups to prototype high-value AI use cases and move them into a controlled production environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on AWS experience and the ability to balance technical architecture, data access controls, and operational readiness.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 – $250,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Build and operate a secure AI platform on AWS Bedrock.
• Design and implement secure data connections between AI systems and enterprise data.
• Manage the application harness for user interaction with AI models.
• Architect security measures for data access and AI threat mitigation.
• Monitor platform performance and implement observability tools.
• Oversee AI cost management and budget tracking.
• Collaborate with business teams to identify and prototype AI opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of software/solutions engineering experience with production AI/LLM applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock and related AWS services, including IAM, VPC, and KMS.
• Proven ability to establish secure data connectivity with permission-aware retrieval.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security and data governance principles.
• Experience monitoring and maintaining live systems, with a focus on production operations.
• Ability to manage AI-related costs and provide transparency in spending.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various business units.
