Sr. AI Data Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for an experienced AI Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure that powers AI applications, machine learning models, and generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong data engineering expertise with knowledge of AI-driven data pipelines, data processing, and modern cloud technologies.

In this role, you will develop reliable data pipelines, prepare high-quality datasets for AI systems, and build the infrastructure needed to support machine learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for AI, machine learning, and analytics applications.
• Build ETL/ELT workflows to collect, transform, clean, validate, and prepare structured and unstructured data.
• Develop data processing pipelines to support LLM applications, RAG systems, embeddings, and vector database integrations.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including APIs, relational databases, cloud storage, and external platforms.
• Design and optimize data models, database schemas, and storage architectures for performance and scalability.
• Implement data quality checks, validation processes, monitoring, and error-handling mechanisms.
• Manage data ingestion, transformation, and retrieval workflows to ensure AI systems have access to accurate and relevant information.
• Optimize data pipelines for processing speed, reliability, cost efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, machine learning engineers, and software developers to support model training, evaluation, and production deployment.
• Apply data security, access controls, and privacy practices to protect sensitive information.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot data issues, and continuously improve data infrastructure.
• Document data architecture, workflows, and engineering processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 8 years of professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience building production-grade data pipelines.
• Experience with data processing tools and frameworks such as Apache Spark, Airflow, dbt, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, data modeling, and data quality management.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, data warehouses, and cloud-based data storage.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning data requirements, including dataset preparation, feature engineering, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Familiarity with LLM applications, RAG architectures, and AI data ingestion workflows is an advantage.
• Experience with APIs, Git, Docker, and CI/CD practices.
• Understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and access control.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with AI engineers, developers, and cross-functional teams.
• Amenable working in US Time zone (PST).
• Can start on November 2, 2026 (Non-Negotiable).

Pay: Php250,000.00 - Php300,000.00 per month
