About the Role

We are a U.S.-based company seeking a Senior AI Engineer / Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of AI-powered solutions across the organization.

This is a hands-on senior technical role for an experienced AI professional who can take projects from concept through development, integration, deployment, and ongoing improvement. The ideal candidate is not only knowledgeable about AI but is also a strong developer who can build practical, scalable solutions that solve real business problems.

The primary focus of this role is AI engineering and development, with cybersecurity and secure development serving as an important secondary area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

AI Engineering & Development

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI-powered applications, tools, and automation.
• Build intelligent solutions that improve business processes, productivity, and decision-making.
• Develop and integrate AI capabilities with existing applications, databases, APIs, and business systems.
• Build backend services, integrations, workflows, and supporting infrastructure for AI applications.
• Evaluate AI technologies, models, frameworks, and development approaches based on business and technical requirements.
• Ensure AI solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, maintainable, and cost-effective.
• Test, monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve AI applications and outputs.
• Research emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities for practical implementation.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and lead AI projects from concept through production.
• Provide technical leadership and establish best practices for AI development and implementation.

Cybersecurity & Secure Development

• Apply secure software development and data-protection practices to AI applications and integrations.
• Identify and address security risks involving applications, systems, APIs, cloud environments, and organizational data.
• Evaluate security risks associated with AI technologies and third-party solutions.
• Assist with security assessments, vulnerability management, remediation, and broader cybersecurity initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant hands-on experience in AI engineering, software development, and implementation of production AI solutions.
• Strong programming and software development skills.
• Experience developing AI-powered applications, intelligent automation, integrations, or similar solutions.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, software architecture, APIs, databases, data processing, and system integrations.
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications in production environments.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, secure application development, data security, and vulnerability management.
• Demonstrated ability to independently take complex technical projects from planning through implementation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be willing to work Pacific Time (PT) business hours.

• Experience with cloud-based application development and deployment.
• Experience with intelligent automation and advanced AI application development.
• Experience integrating AI into existing business systems and workflows.
• Experience with cybersecurity, application security, or cloud security.
• Relevant AI, software development, cloud, or cybersecurity certifications.
• Experience advising leadership on technology strategy and implementation.
