Sr. Analyst - Food

Performs routine food testing and sample preparation activities with minimal supervision. Supports laboratory operations by following validated methods, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with laboratory quality systems and food testing requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation and routine testing of food, feed, beverages, and related matrices using approved methods, SOPs, and laboratory procedures.

• Accurately record observations, raw data, calculations, and test results in logbooks, worksheets, LIMS, and other approved formats.

• Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration checks, and basic troubleshooting, and report equipment issues, sample abnormalities, or testing concerns to the Team Leader or Reporting In-charge.

• Maintain records of consumables, chemicals, standards, reagents, and reference materials used during testing activities.

• Escalate deviations, atypical results, and testing-related abnormalities in accordance with established procedures.

• Assist in the preparation of stock solutions, calibration standards, reference materials, and quality control samples.

• Support sample receipt, storage, retention, disposal, and routine quality control activities.

• Guide Trainee Analysts during routine testing activities and ensure compliance with laboratory safety, quality systems, and housekeeping requirements.

• Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Any Branch), Food Technology, Food Science, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline.

• Experience: 1-3 years.
