Sr. Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team. This role is critical in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, report development, and analytics, with a passion for solving complex business problems through data. Equally important is the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels — from frontline analysts to senior executives — translating complex data concepts into clear, compelling narratives that drive alignment and action. Our team works across modern BI platforms and is actively expanding into AI-assisted report development — using agentic AI tools to generate analytical reports from semantic data views — making adaptability and curiosity about emerging technologies equally as important as core BI skills.

Essential Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions including semantic models, dashboards, and analytical reports across platforms.
• Develop analytical reports in HTML using agentic AI tools (including Claude) to surface insights from semantic data views.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements, build consensus, and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• Facilitate working sessions and presentations that drive alignment across business and IT teams.
• Optimize and maintain existing BI systems and processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms.
• Perform advanced data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
• Mentor junior BI developers and contribute to best practices in BI development.
• Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure seamless data integration.
• Stay current with BI tools, technologies, and industry trends, including agentic AI capabilities.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting end-to-end BI solutions.
• Strong proficiency in semantic modeling and report development using modern BI platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
• Comfort working with or learning agentic AI tools for report generation and automation.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Experience with one or more enterprise BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or Oracle.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS for report layout and presentation.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience in mentoring or leading BI teams.
