Sr. Application Engineer / Application Engineering Manager

Position Summary

Responsible for providing technical and commercial support to the Sales and Business Development teams by developing technical solutions, preparing tenders and proposals, coordinating with factories and engineering teams, and ensuring TECO’s offerings meet customer specifications and project requirements. The role supports business growth across industrial, infrastructure, utility, data center, electrification, PCB and semiconductor sectors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Sales Support

• Support Sales and BD teams during customer visits and technical discussions.
• Analyze customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Conduct technical presentations, workshops and training.

2. Tendering & Proposal Management

• Review RFQ, ITB and tender documents.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals.
• Develop compliance matrices and bid clarifications.
• Ensure timely and high-quality tender submissions.

3. Application Engineering

• Review electrical systems, motor sizing, transformer sizing and switchgear configurations.
• Support solution design and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Provide technical evaluations and feasibility assessments.

4. Project & EPC Support

• Support EPC contractors, consultants and end users during project development.
• Participate in specification reviews, technical meetings and AVL activities.
• Support project execution from bidding through award stage.

5. Industry & Application Support

• Provide technical support and solution development for Semiconductor, PCB, Data Center, Utilities, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater, Chemical, Food & Beverage and General Manufacturing sectors.
• Support customer workshops, application reviews and solution studies.
• Develop industry-specific technical proposals and value propositions.
• Work closely with Sales, BD, EPC contractors, consultants and end users during project development and bidding stages.
• Support strategic growth initiatives through technical expertise and application engineering support.

6. HQ Engineering Coordination

• Coordinate with TECO ASEAN, Taiwan, TECO China and strategic partners.
• Support technical compliance, documentation, drawings and factory clarifications.

7. Technical Documentation

• Prepare technical proposals, datasheets, compliance matrices, single-line diagrams and presentations.
• Support factory acceptance and project documentation requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (required)
• Master's Degree or MBA (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial electrical products and systems.
• Experience in motors, drives, transformers, MV/LV switchgear, busway and EPC projects.
• Infrastructure Project, Process Industry, Data Center, PCB and Semiconductor experience is an advantage.

Language

• Thai and English (required)
• Mandarin Chinese (preferred)
