Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year

Job Details Key responsibilities and duties

• Design, develop, code, commission, and validate automated manufacturing equipment and control systems.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robots, and motion control systems.
• Diagnose complex equipment and control failures to reduce downtime.
• Lead automation projects from scope and design through vendor coordination, procurement, installation, and deployment.
• Design electrical schematics and control circuits; support control panel fabrication and wiring.
• Analyze production workflows and data to improve performance, efficiency, and cost.
• Document systems through technical reports, electrical drawings, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and training while meeting applicable safety and quality standards.

Qualifications — needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automation, or Industrial Engineering or verifiable equivalent experience and vocational training in automation.
• 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, including substantial automation and robotics work; injection molding experience is preferred.
• Proven experience leading automation projects from design through deployment.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs, Star Automation and/or Yushin robots, and six-axis robots.
• Experience implementing and programming servo and stepper motor systems.
• Ability to design electrical schematics and control circuits and to design, fabricate, and wire control panels.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic controls and electro-pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Ability to produce 2D or 3D equipment drawings in AutoCAD or SolidWorks and apply GD&T.
• Familiarity with applicable industrial safety, electrical, building, and quality codes; ability to travel to facilities and suppliers as needed.
• Preferred: extensive mechanical design experience; SCADA and database experience.
