Sr. Business Analyst (BA)

Job Purpose

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the overall platform requirements for Karmayogi Bharat eHRMS 2.0. The role involves documenting and analyzing platform requirements and design in alignment with the overall programme strategy and vision. The position will provide product leadership for the platform and maintain a detailed view of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment between business requirements, product design, development, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Functional Requirements

• Liaise with business teams and stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements for product and development teams.
• Ensure requirements remain aligned with the overall eHRMS 2.0 programme strategy and vision.

2. Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Define the platform product strategy and roadmap in accordance with programme objectives.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of the product roadmap, priorities, dependencies, and key deliverables.
• Support product decisions based on business requirements, system feasibility, and strategic objectives.

3. Product & System Design

• Develop high-level product specifications with appropriate consideration of system integration, scalability, and technical feasibility.
• Use relevant tools and methodologies to create representations of product functions, workflows, and user interfaces.
• Define appropriate development practices, technology considerations, workflows, and coding standards in collaboration with technical teams.

4. Development & Technical Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with software developers, coders, quality analysts, and technical support teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Communicate product concepts, requirements, design principles, and guidelines clearly to development teams.
• Monitor development progress to ensure implementation remains consistent with approved product requirements and design.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers where required.

5. Quality, Security & Product Governance

• Ensure the software meets defined requirements relating to quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, and overall system performance.
• Review product development and implementation against agreed requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve gaps and ensure product readiness.
• Review and approve the final product prior to launch.

6. Stakeholder & Change Management

• Act as a key interface between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Facilitate effective communication across business, product, development, QA, and support functions.
• Support change management activities arising from evolving platform requirements and programme priorities.

Experience Requirements

• 6+ years of proven experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or related roles, preferably involving eHRMS 2.0 implementation or HR technology systems.
• Strong understanding of HR processes, practices, and compliance standards.
• Experience with eHRMS platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise HR technology platforms.
• Proficiency in relevant project management and product management tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and support strategic decisions for system and product improvements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with business and technical teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Education Qualification

Essential:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Human Resources, Education, Public Administration, Law, or a related field.
