Sr. Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive analysis of business requirements to develop scalable data models and effective solutions aligned with organizational goals.
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other reporting platforms to visualize key metrics clearly and compellingly.
• Manage end-to-end data integration processes utilizing ETL tools like Talend, ensuring seamless data flow between SQL databases, Oracle, and other sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines within Agile frameworks while adhering to SDLC best practices.
• Conduct database design activities and optimize query management using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or SQL-based systems for efficient data retrieval.
• Develop scripts and automation workflows using VBA, Bash (Unix shell), Python, or R to streamline data processing tasks and enhance analytical capabilities.
• Support the development of business intelligence solutions by analyzing data trends, creating visualizations, and delivering actionable insights through dashboards and reports.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications for analytics tools such as Looker or Power BI.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, processes, and system configurations while ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new analytics tools, techniques, and best practices in data visualization and analysis.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst with a focus on analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Extensive hands-on experience with SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle) including query management and database design.
• Proficiency in ETL processes using Talend or similar tools for data integration across multiple sources.
• Technical skills in scripting languages such as Python, R, VBA, or Bash for automation and advanced analytics tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to develop dashboards and reports that communicate complex insights clearly to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of business intelligence concepts including linked data integration and data visualization best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies combined with excellent analysis skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience working with large datasets using data analytics tools for comprehensive reporting and strategic decision-making.

Pay: $60.00 - $64.00 per hour
