Business Systems Analyst – Windchill / Manufacturing Systems

RED Global is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support a client’s manufacturing applications, with a focus on PTC Windchill and MPMLink. This person will work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and IT teams to translate business needs into system improvements and support implementation, integration, and ongoing operations.

What You’ll Do

• Work with business users to understand current processes, identify gaps, and define practical system requirements.
• Support Windchill MPMLink capabilities covering manufacturing bills of material, process planning, work instructions, manufacturing resources, and engineering changes.
• Help deliver application rollouts and enhancements, including configuration, data migration, testing, integration validation, and user training.
• Collaborate with technical teams on interfaces between Windchill, SAP, and other enterprise manufacturing systems.
• Create requirements, process maps, functional specifications, test scenarios, and supporting project documentation.
• Evaluate solution options and explain tradeoffs involving functionality, cost, complexity, and risk.
• Coordinate priorities across departments and help resolve conflicting requirements.
• Support manufacturing data quality, governance, and lifecycle processes.
• Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolution with development, infrastructure, and support teams.
• Assist with user access, onboarding, application updates, and performance monitoring.
• Contribute to system availability, recovery planning, security requirements, and production stability.
• Maintain application documentation and help users adopt new processes and functionality.
• Follow internal quality, compliance, and change management procedures, including supporting audits when needed.
• Participate in technology planning and lead smaller projects or workstreams.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support, including participation in an on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least five years of experience in business systems analysis or a related role.
• At least three years of experience supporting PTC Windchill.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate business processes into functional system designs.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

• Windchill MPMLink, manufacturing process planning, and manufacturing BOM management.
• BOM Transformer, work instruction authoring, and manufacturing resource management.
• Engineering change processes and product lifecycle management.
• Integration with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, MES, or other enterprise platforms.
• Manufacturing environments with formal quality and compliance requirements.
• Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery.
• Reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI.
• Working across departments in a matrix organization.
• Business analysis or PTC Windchill certifications.
