Sr. Category Manager, Procurement

Role Purpose

The Senior Category Manager is responsible for leading strategic and operational procurement activities for assigned non‑IT categories across APAC, INDIA, and EMEA. Operating within a global procurement model, this role translates global category strategies into effective regional execution while driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and risk mitigation.

The specific commodity assignment will be determined based on evolving business priorities and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities Category Strategy & Regional Execution

• Lead the execution of global non‑IT category strategies for APAC, INDIA, and EMEA, ensuring alignment with regional business requirements.
• Develop regional sourcing plans that leverage global scale while addressing local market dynamics, regulations, and demand.
• Drive sourcing activities including spend analysis, RFx events, negotiations, and recommendation of sourcing awards.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary procurement partner for regional business stakeholders across APAC and EMEA.
• Collaborate closely with global category leadership to ensure consistency in approach, governance, and supplier strategy.
• Manage stakeholder expectations related to cost, service levels, delivery timelines, and risk.

Supplier & Contract Management

• Own supplier relationship management for regional suppliers within the assigned category scope.
• Lead contract negotiations and renewals in collaboration with Legal and relevant control functions.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Value Delivery & Financial Impact

• Deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and value‑creation initiatives aligned with procurement and finance targets.
• Apply total cost of ownership (TCO) and demand‑management principles to sourcing decisions.
• Track and report savings and performance metrics in accordance with global procurement standards.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with global procurement policies, internal controls, and regional regulatory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain, contractual, and operational risks specific to APAC, INDIA, and EMEA markets.
• Support audit requirements and governance reviews as needed.

Key Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Category Manager or equivalent within non‑IT procurement.
• Strong strategic sourcing and negotiation skills across complex or diverse categories.
• Experience working across multiple regions, preferably APAC, INDIA, and EMEA, in a global or matrixed organization.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to onboard quickly to new commodities and lead independently in a dynamic environment.
