Sr. Civil Procurement Engineer-Construction

We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer with a Civil Engineering background and proven experience in UAE villa and high-rise building projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, sourcing construction materials, negotiating with suppliers, controlling costs, and ensuring timely delivery of materials in accordance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules. The candidate must be proficient in Arabic to coordinate effectively with local suppliers, clients, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee procurement activities for civil construction materials, including concrete, steel reinforcement, cement, blocks, waterproofing materials, tiles, sanitaryware, finishing materials, and other building-related products.
• Review project drawings, BOQs, specifications, and material requirements to prepare accurate procurement schedules.
• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors within the UAE market.
• Obtain and compare quotations, prepare commercial comparison sheets, negotiate prices, and secure competitive rates without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, consultants, and site engineers to ensure materials are procured according to project requirements and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, material requisitions, and procurement documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure all materials comply with approved specifications, consultant requirements, and relevant UAE standards.
• Coordinate material submittals, technical data sheets, samples, and material approvals with consultants and project teams before placing orders.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, lead times, and material availability to prevent delays at project sites.
• Develop and maintain procurement schedules aligned with project milestones for villa and high-rise construction projects.
• Negotiate payment terms, delivery conditions, warranties, and other commercial terms with suppliers.
• Monitor material prices, market trends, and cost-saving opportunities to improve procurement efficiency.
• Coordinate with the storekeeper and site team to monitor stock levels, material consumption, and delivery requirements.
• Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, material shortages, incorrect supplies, and quality discrepancies.
• Maintain updated records of supplier quotations, purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and procurement reports.
• Support budget monitoring and cost control by tracking purchase commitments, variations, and material price fluctuations.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, approval procedures, and ethical purchasing practices.
• Prepare regular procurement status reports highlighting pending orders, delivery schedules, material approvals, and potential project risks.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant procurement experience in construction, preferably within the UAE market.
• Proven experience in villa and high-rise building projects.
• Arabic-speaking ability is required, with good English communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and material submittals.
• Excellent supplier sourcing, price negotiation, cost analysis, and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of UAE construction material suppliers, market prices, and procurement practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and procurement or ERP systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.

Pay: Up to AED16,000.00 per month
