Sr. Compensation Manager, R&D

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Compensation Manager, R&D to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will shape compensation strategy for technical organizations, with a particular focus on supporting R&D talent and related workforce needs. You will partner closely with leadership to build programs that are competitive, scalable, and aligned with business goals. The position requires strong analytical judgment, sound compensation expertise, and the ability to advise on sensitive decisions across the employee lifecycle.

Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $217,800 – $299,550 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop compensation models for R&D talent
• Manage compensation processes throughout the employee lifecycle
• Create and implement compensation programs and frameworks
• Collaborate with leadership to address business needs
• Act as an advisor in sensitive compensation decisions

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in compensation strategy and execution
• Strong knowledge of compensation frameworks and job architecture
• Exceptional analytical skills in data synthesis and market pricing
• Experience with competitive tech compensation practices
• Ability to balance compensation knowledge with business solutions
