Sr. Construction Manager -Electrical

Key Responsibilities Construction Management

• Lead and manage all substation construction activities from mobilization to mechanical completion.
• Supervise installation of AIS/GIS switchgear, power transformers, reactors, control panels, protection systems, batteries, and ancillary equipment.
• Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, commissioning, and client teams.

Project Planning & Control

• Review construction schedules and monitor project progress.
• Develop manpower, equipment, and resource deployment plans.
• Identify construction risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Take corrective actions to recover delays and achieve project milestones.

Site Supervision

• Manage site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and construction crews.
• Monitor productivity and optimize resource utilization.
• Conduct daily and weekly progress review meetings.
• Resolve technical and site-related issues promptly.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and international standards.
• Coordinate inspections and quality checks with QA/QC teams.
• Review and approve installation records and inspection reports.
• Ensure closure of quality observations and punch points.

HSE Management

• Implement and enforce project HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct safety reviews, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with permit-to-work and electrical safety requirements.
• Promote a zero-incident and zero-harm safety culture.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Interface with clients, consultants, utility authorities, and OEM representatives.
• Attend project review meetings and provide progress reports.
• Manage contractor and vendor performance.
• Support project management in resolving commercial and technical issues.

Commissioning Support

• Coordinate with testing and commissioning teams for smooth handover.
• Ensure completion of construction punch items prior to energization.
• Support substation energization and project handover activities.
• Verify readiness of systems for commissioning and operation.
