Sr Controlling Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Controlling Manager to lead our financial control, accounting integrity, and strategic financial planning in Mexico. Reporting directly to top regional executives, you will oversee plant profitability, cash flow generation, working capital optimization, cost accounting, tax compliance, and SOX internal controls, ensuring alignment with corporate financial targets and global best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Control & SOX Compliance: Direct all financial control activities in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Law (SOX) guidelines, managing risk frameworks and internal controls across Mexican plant operations.

• Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning: Lead annual budgeting processes and short-/long-term financial projections using best-in-class operational diagnostic tools and integrated administration matrices.

• Plant Profitability & Cost Analysis: Oversee calculations for transformation costs, administrative overhead, manufacturing margins, and unit/client/product profitability. Establish robust cost-reduction and margin-optimization strategies.

• Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Direct working capital strategies, cash flow generation, and capital allocation to minimize capital cost and maximize operating income (EBIT).

• New Product Costing & Quoting: Establish competitive product pricing for new projects in accordance with corporate benchmarks, global cost structures, and target margins.

• Accounting & Tax Management: Ensure timely generation and reporting of audited accounting results (US GAAP / MX GAAP), supervising correct calculation and compliance for all Mexican tax obligations.

• Risk Management & Insurance: Serve as the primary contact for corporate Risk Management teams to ensure adequate insurance coverage and asset protection for all regional assets.

• Leadership & Team Development: Mentor, develop, and build technical competencies within the local Finance and Accounting team, fostering cross-functional collaboration and cross-site best-practice sharing.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 8+ years of senior financial leadership experience (Controlling, FP&A, Plant Controllership) within the Automotive or Advanced Manufacturing Industry.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (MBA or CPA preferred).

• Technical Mastery: Proven background in SOX compliance, US GAAP / MX GAAP, product costing, working capital management, and tax compliance for Mexican manufacturing entities.

• System Knowledge: Advanced proficiency in enterprise ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced financial modeling tools.

• Language Proficiency: Advanced / Fluent English (written and spoken) is required for corporate executive reporting and global alignment.
