Sr. Counsel

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.

In this role, you will serve as a key legal partner supporting complex technology transactions and the negotiation of cloud and SaaS agreements that enable the company's broader operations. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to manage legal risk, strengthen commercial outcomes, and help translate sophisticated contract terms into scalable internal processes. This position requires a practical, business-oriented counsel who can balance legal rigor with operational efficiency in a fast-moving technology environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $158,765 – $326,870 annually

Responsibilities

• Negotiate a high volume of complex SaaS and cloud transactions independently.
• Provide legal support for enterprise-level cloud negotiations with major providers.
• Counsel the business on transaction risks, with a focus on data security and privacy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud needs with budget and strategy.
• Advise on key legal issues in cloud transactions, including compliance and supplier accountability.
• Operationalize commercial terms of cloud agreements by implementing tracking and compliance processes.
• Support evaluation of alternative technologies and contracting approaches to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• JD with 8+ years of experience in a legal environment, with a focus on complex SaaS and cloud services negotiations.
• At least 2 years of in-house experience at a technology company preferred.
• Deep expertise in negotiating cloud compute, SaaS, and technology supplier agreements.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing business models and pricing frameworks.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Finance, and Procurement teams on significant technology deals.
• Ability to translate complex contract terms into scalable internal processes.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
