Sr. Database Developer & Admin (MSSQL)

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019 or later).
• Experience in query performance tuning and optimization using execution plans and indexing strategies.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Experience working with large datasets, data validation, and data quality management.
• Strong understanding of: Database normalization and relational database design, Indexing and partitioning strategies, Database security best practices
• Backup, recovery, and database maintenance
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize slow-running queries and high-volume database operations.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes using SSIS and custom T-SQL solutions.
• Implement and maintain indexing, partitioning, and database performance tuning strategies.
• Create, maintain, and enhance reports using SSRS or integrate SQL Server data with reporting platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and reliability across databases and applications.
• Collaborate with application development teams and business stakeholders to understand and deliver data solutions that meet business requirements.
• Support database administration activities, including backup and restore operations, database migrations, deployments, and version control.
• Monitor database performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and process improvement.
• Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and database security policies to ensure maintainable and secure solutions.
