Job Description:

1. Managed Relational Databases (Cloud SQL for SQL Server):

• Provisioning and architectural design for Microsoft SQL Server 2025 Enterprise on Google Cloud SQL .
• Configuring database flags, server parameters, and application tier connectivity.

1. Oracle Database Deployment on Google Compute Engine:

• Installation and administration of Oracle Database Enterprise Edition (v19.3) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Storage volume striping configuration using LVM/ASM.

1. High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR):

• Design and setup of Cloud SQL Regional HA across multiple zones and cross-region Read Replicas.
• Implementation and configuration of Oracle Data Guard for active, asynchronous replication to a DRP region.
• Failover execution and testing for Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) validation.

1. Database Security & Network Isolation:

• Configuring Customer-Managed Encryption Keys (Cloud KMS / CMEK) for database disk encryption at rest.
• Implementing network isolation via Private Service Connect (PSC) or VPC Peering endpoints.
• Mapping organizational IAM roles and fine-grained data access controls.

1. Backup & Recovery Strategy:

• Configuring automated backup procedures using Google Cloud Storage with Object Lock (Backup Vault).
• Setting up Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) for Cloud SQL.

1. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Developing and executing Terraform modules to automate database platform foundation provisioning.
