Sr. DDI Engineer

We're hiring a Senior DDI Engineer to own the day-to-day engineering, automation, and reliability of this platform. You'll work across DNS/DHCP/IPAM administration, grid HA and disaster recovery, security module operations (Advanced Threat Protection, RPZ, TAXII, DNSSEC), and the custom extensible-attribute schema (90+ fields) that ties DDI data to GEICO's cloud, virtualization, and asset-management systems. This is a hands-on engineering role with direct influence over platform architecture, monitoring, and automation strategy.

7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience, including 3+ years administering Infoblox NIOS in a production Grid environment

• deep working knowledge of DNS (authoritative and recursive), DHCP, and IP address management fundamentals and protocols

• hands-on experience with Infoblox Grid architecture grid members, HA pairing, DNS Views, Shared Record Groups, and Extensible Attributes • scripting/automation experience in Python or Bash, including working with REST APIs (Infoblox WAPI or equivalent)

• solid understanding of enterprise networking (routing, VLANs, firewalls) and how DDI services fit into a segmented, multi-environment network

• experience with monitoring and observability tooling (SNMP, Prometheus/Grafana, or a comparable enterprise monitoring stack)

• clear, professional written and verbal communication — able to document designs and explain technical tradeoffs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders

• bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
