Sr. Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Be a team player with a good work ethic, ready to absorb best practices from the team.
• Meet with clients to determine business, functional and technical requirements, and participate in application design, configuration, testing and deployment.
• Perform configuration and customisation of the Salesforce.com platform.
• Participate in efforts to develop and execute testing, training and documentation.
• Participate in the sales cycle as needed (solution definition, pre-sales, estimating and project planning).
• Be willing to be hands-on in producing tangible deliverables (requirements specifications, design deliverables, status reports, project plans).
• Use best practices to perform operational support, enhancements and bug fixes on the Salesforce.com platform as needed.
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and keep ticketing updated for events, incidents, requests, changes, problems, etc.
• Proactively engage in continuous improvement efforts for application design, support and practice development.
• Provide technical assistance and end-user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements and “how-to” questions.
• Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Components and Visualforce to extend Salesforce to support business requirements.
• Write test classes and ensure code coverage.
• Integrate and develop web services.
• Maintain the security and integrity of the application software.
• Achieve Salesforce.com certification requirements appropriate to the role.
• Adhere to established development standards, guidelines and methodologies.
• Provide guidance to other developers in the team. ‍

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree, professional qualification, or relevant experience.
• Salesforce product knowledge and 5+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration, as well as object-oriented design patterns and development.
• Experience and expertise in core web technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript and jQuery.
• Ability to solve high-level software and application issues.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of relational databases, data modeling and ETL tools.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum.
• Experience with web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.). ‍

Desired Certifications

• Certified Salesforce Developer and Certified Salesforce Architect related certifications.
• Additional Salesforce certifications, e.g., Certified Salesforce Administrator, Certified JavaScript Developer.
