Sr. Director, Operations

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Director, Operations to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.

This senior operations leader will oversee critical manufacturing execution in a semiconductor environment, with direct responsibility for fab performance, yield improvement, cycle time, and capacity planning. The role will partner closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen supply chain flexibility, support technology transitions, and drive disciplined execution across the operation. Success in this position will be measured by improved financial performance, scalable manufacturing processes, and sustained operational excellence across a complex global footprint.

Location: Livermore, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $213,800 – $280,560 annually

Responsibilities

• Oversee fab operations, including wafer fabrication and facilities
• Drive first-pass line yield improvement through cultural change
• Lead technology transfer to enhance global supply chain flexibility
• Improve cycle time performance through disciplined execution
• Develop capacity models for technology transitions and volume growth
• Manage COGS to achieve financial targets
• Implement lean manufacturing and automation best practices

Qualifications

• 14+ years in semiconductor operations with leadership experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree or PhD preferred
• Deep expertise in semiconductor manufacturing processes
• Strong background in team leadership and mentorship
• Proven track record of strategic operational management
