Sr. Electrical Design Engineer(MEP)

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience in MEP/building services design. The candidate will be responsible for independently handling electrical design projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, reviewing technical deliverables, and supporting project execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently prepare and review electrical design and engineering drawings.
• Design HT/LT electrical distribution systems, including transformers, DGs, LT panels, SMDBs, and DBs.
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), power layouts, lighting layouts, cable schedules, and load schedules.
• Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, voltage-drop and short-circuit calculations.
• Design lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection, and electrical distribution systems.
• Prepare BOQ, specifications, tender documents, and technical reports.
• Review electrical drawings, calculations, and technical submissions prepared by junior engineers.
• Coordinate electrical designs with HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, Architecture, and Structural teams.
• Lead design coordination meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Resolve design conflicts and provide appropriate engineering solutions.
• Review vendor drawings, technical submittals, material selections, and shop drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with NBC, IS, IEC, CEA regulations, and project-specific standards.
• Monitor project design deliverables and ensure timely submission.
• Guide and mentor junior electrical engineers and draftsmen.
