Senior Electrical Engineer – Job Description

Position: Senior Electrical Engineer
Experience: 8–12 Years
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Authority Requirement: ADDC Registered/Approved

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise electrical engineering works for building and MEP projects.
• Prepare, review, and approve electrical designs, drawings, calculations, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with ADDC and other relevant authorities for approvals, inspections, and NOCs.
• Review electrical shop drawings, load schedules, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment specifications.
• Ensure electrical works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and UAE standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other MEP disciplines.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and site-related electrical problems.
• Review material submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with safety requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, method statements, inspection requests, and other project documentation.
• Guide and supervise electrical engineers, supervisors, and site teams.
• Ensure timely completion of electrical works as per project schedules.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably in UAE construction/MEP projects.
• Valid ADDC Registration/Approval is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of UAE electrical standards, ADDC requirements, and authority procedures.
• Experience in commercial, residential, high-rise, infrastructure, or other major building projects.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, earthing, and ELV coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of electrical design software is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.
• Immediate joiners preferred.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
