Sr. Electrical Technical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve electrical shop drawings, design drawings, technical specifications, and material submittals.
• Prepare and review electrical calculations, including load schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit calculations, and lighting calculations.
• Oversee technical submissions, method statements, material approvals, and requests for information (RFIs).
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, project managers, site engineers, and other MEP disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions for complex electrical engineering and site installation issues.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), Kahramaa regulations, IEC standards, and project requirements.
• Monitor project progress and ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for technical evaluations and approval of electrical materials and equipment.
• Supervise testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover of electrical systems.
• Review as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and other project closeout documents.
• Lead technical meetings, resolve design discrepancies, and provide engineering support to site teams.
• Ensure timely completion of technical documentation and compliance with project schedules.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 12–15 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably within MEP contracting and building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, technical engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Previous experience in Qatar are highly preferred.

Pay: QAR10,000.00 - QAR15,000.00 per month
