Sr. Engineer - EHS

Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Management

• Implement and monitor project HSE plans, procedures, and policies.
• Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory HSE requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor compliance with safe work practices and permit-to-work systems.

Risk Assessment & Hazard Control

• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, and Hazard Identification studies.
• Ensure effective control measures are implemented for high-risk activities.
• Monitor work activities such as excavation, lifting operations, working at height, electrical works, and commissioning activities.
• Support development of method statements and safe work procedures.

Safety Training & Awareness

• Conduct HSE induction training for employees and subcontractors.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety awareness programs.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project.
• Ensure all personnel understand project safety requirements.

Incident Investigation

• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Prepare incident investigation reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor closure of corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain incident statistics and performance records.

Environmental Management

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and project environmental plans.
• Monitor waste management, spill prevention, and pollution control measures.
• Conduct environmental inspections and audits.
• Promote environmental awareness among project teams.

Emergency Preparedness

• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
• Ensure availability of emergency equipment and resources.
• Coordinate emergency response activities when required.
• Verify emergency procedures are effectively implemented.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, and audit documentation.
• Track safety observations and corrective actions.
• Support client and third-party HSE audits.
