Job Description Summary
Join a global wind team shaping safe, reliable, and maintainable pitch electrical systems for onshore and offshore turbines.
Own the technical direction and lifecycle of the system, spanning motors, inverters, cabinets, and auxiliary components from requirements and design through validation, certification, and fleet support.
Turn complex challenges into practical solutions by leading system-level decisions and bringing together electrical and firmware engineering, systems engineering, product line, validation, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and service teams.
Your leadership will help strengthen turbine performance and deliver lasting value across the fleet.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Own pitch-system requirements, specifications, interfaces, technical risks, and design changes across onshore and offshore turbine platforms.
Promote shared technical standards, architecture, and lessons learned across the Wind platform while accounting for platform-specific requirements.
Lead design trade-offs and guide component and system development, ensuring released drawings, schematics, bills of material, and technical documentation are complete and accurate.
Define and drive verification and validation plans; review test and field data and ensure requirements and applicable certification needs are met.
Provide technical leadership through design reviews, risk assessments, and root-cause investigations; turn lessons learned and fleet feedback into corrective actions and product improvements.
Partner with global engineering, suppliers, test laboratories, manufacturing, quality, and service teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Track technical deliverables and support decisions on performance, safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
Proven and solid engineering experience in wind turbines or a comparable industry, with demonstrated ownership of complex electrical system development.
Experience taking engineering requirements through design release, testing, and issue resolution.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Desired Characteristics
Wind-industry experiences across onshore and offshore platforms, with the ability to apply shared solutions while recognizing platform-specific needs.
Broad understanding of pitch-system interfaces across electrical, mechanical, controls, firmware, and power-conversion disciplines.
Experience with system validation, field data, root-cause analysis, and applicable standards or certification activities.
Sound systems thinking and judgment; able to assess risk and make decisions with incomplete information.
Demonstrated technical leadership, initiative, and ability to influence global, cross-functional teams.
Customer focus, clear communication, and a practical commitment to safety and quality.
