Floating RFQ to suppliers.
Prepare supplier selection list based on internal Team guidance
Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews.
Identify manufacturing feasibility, critical dimensions and potential risks.
Prepare the Part Development Plan and development timeline.
Coordinate prototype and sample development.
Ensure development milestones are completed as per customer schedule.
Monitor tool manufacturing progress against the development schedule.
Conduct Trial Run / Run at Rate activities.
Drive NPD activities according to PPAP and APQP requirements.
Ensure PPAP approval before mass production.
Develop parts within the approved target cost.
Develop optimum strip layout / blank size for sheet-metal components where applicable.
Track development cost against budget.
