Sr. Engineer, Process Integration

Your Job Development of new and existing products that meets or exceed customer expectations. Support Sr. Engineers and manager on all projects in development, product testing, generates models, Engineering changes, technical documents etc.

What You Will Do

• With some guidance from Sr. Engineers and manager, develops new product and manage product extension.
• Provides technical support to customers, suppliers and inside personnel.
• Coordinates product activities with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and quality using the engineering change request (ECR) procedures.
• Support product test by coordinating with reliability lab (write test request, gather test sample, board etc.)
• Performs design verification activities to ensure that design meets the specifications of the customer and UL requirements.
• Checks manufacturing and sales drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Responsible for loading all products released BOM’s (Bill of Material) and Material Master data sheets through SAP/software.
• Understand, support and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree above in physics or optics field
• 2+ years design experience in optical passive R&D or engineering
• Proficient in optical simulation or assembly process experience to generate the optical request or spec;
• Demonstrated ability to analyse information and solve problems with sound solutions
• Good verbal and written skills for exchange of information in a clear and concise manner.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment

What Will Put You Ahead

• Knowledge of Z-max/ Math CAD / Matlab software;
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, especially optical assembly and seal packaging;
• Good knowledge of optical material properties;
