Sr Engineer - UK Highways

Role description:

• Good understanding and Knowledge of international codes like DMRB, AASHTO, and Euro codes along with various other International Codal Practices and Standards, Design Standards of Local County Councils
• Highway Design experience using Open Roads Designer and good expertise in 3D modelling for proposals and Detail design projects.
• Roadway Design for various stages of Design-Build Projects - Detailed design of Roadway corridor, Detailed drawings, construction support drawings, Design Reviews, Project Management, and Design Management.
• Experience in MS Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Role accountabilities:

• Responsible for managing technical aspects of smaller and/or less complex tasks or components of larger tasks, meeting financial, quality, timeframe and health and safety objectives
• Responsible for end-to-end project design and delivery for Highway design-related tasks.
• Preparation / Finalization of various highway-related drawings at various stages of projects.
• Computation of quantities.
• Preparation of design reports.
• Ability to understand existing condition reports and surveys.
• Coaching and mentoring team members.
• Ability to lead and design projects.
• Should have handled a minimum of 1 Design projects-overseas preferably for the UK/US/CAN/EU/ME/AUS in the Infrastructure Business.
• Software: Navisworks, Infraworks, Open Roads
• Excellent Soft Skills related to People Management (desirable)
• Strong mentoring Skills - Ability to build teams (desirable)

Qualifications Experience:

• Education - Graduation - B.Tech/B.E. - Civil or Post Graduation - MTech - Civil/Transportation. Minimum 8+ years of experience in a Design Consulting Environment
• Strong understanding of DMRB/AASHTO codes
• Software - Open Roads Designer. All others like Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Infraworks and Navisworks would be added advantages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), including technical report writing.
• Organized and proactive (self-starter).
