Sr Engr/Lead Engr- FEA Simulation

Role & responsibilities

• Independently handle FEA simulation assignments by analysing problem statements, understanding design requirements and defining appropriate simulation methodologies.
• Develop and solve high-fidelity Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models for compressors and related mechanical products.
• Perform linear and nonlinear static stress analysis to assess structural strength and design adequacy.
• Conduct linear dynamic analysis to evaluate structural behaviour under dynamic loading conditions.
• Perform High Cycle Fatigue (HCF) and Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) assessments to evaluate product durability and structural integrity.
• Use simulation results to identify potential design weaknesses and recommend design improvements to Product Engineering teams.
• Apply engineering principles, structural mechanics and material science to interpret results and validate simulation outcomes.
• Prepare clear and concise technical reports documenting assumptions, methodology, results, conclusions and recommendations.
• Follow established simulation best practices and ensure the accuracy and reliability of analysis results.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in FEA / Structural Simulation.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of structural mechanics, material science and finite element methods.
• Proven experience in linear and nonlinear static stress analysis and linear dynamic analysis.
• Hands-on exposure to High Cycle Fatigue (HCF) and Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) analysis.
• Proficiency in Abaqus, fe-safe and HyperMesh.
• Ability to independently build simulation models, interpret results and provide actionable design recommendations.
• Experience in compressor manufacturing, heavy machinery, pumps, engines, turbomachinery or related mechanical equipment is preferred.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication and technical report-writing skills.
• Python programming and scripting knowledge will be an added advantage.
