Sr. Enterprise Project Manager

Luna Data Solutions has an immediate contract position opening for a Sr. Enterprise Project Manager resource with our insurance industry client located in Brenham, TX. *This is a hybrid role, in which this resource will work onsite 3 days/week (Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday) and 2 days/week remote.

Role: Sr. Enterprise Project Manager

Role Description:

The client is seeking an experienced Sr. Enterprise Project Manager to lead and manage complex enterprise initiatives across strategic, operational, technology, software development, and continuous improvement programs. This role serves as a critical liaison between business stakeholders, executive leadership, project teams, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery aligned with organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, along with extensive experience managing multiple projects and driving teams toward successful outcomes. This individual will also serve as a mentor and coach to project management staff while helping to strengthen enterprise project management practices and governance.

Key Activities/Responsibilities

Enterprise Project Leadership

• Lead enterprise-level projects and strategic initiatives from initiation through implementation and closure.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and executive leadership.
• Establish project objectives, scope, timelines, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and mentorship to project teams and Project Managers.
• Facilitate organizational decision-making aligned with corporate strategy and business priorities.
• Monitor project health and ensure milestones, objectives, and deliverables remain on track.

Project Planning & Governance

• Develop, maintain, and oversee integrated project plans and schedules.
• Manage project estimation activities, resource planning, and forecasting.
• Establish and maintain processes for scope management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support enterprise project, program, and portfolio management (PPM) governance and adherence.
• Ensure project management best practices, methodologies, and lessons learned are applied consistently.
• Maintain project tracking systems and reporting mechanisms.

Risk, Change & Quality Management

• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
• Develop mitigation strategies and drive issue resolution.
• Oversee project change control processes and governance procedures.
• Ensure quality assurance standards are integrated into project execution.
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for business owners and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal and external communications related to project initiatives.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, and implementation partners.
• Conduct regular project status reviews and executive-level briefings.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across departments and business units.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a project management role.
• Extensive knowledge of industry-standard project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience leading large-scale enterprise projects involving technology, operations, process improvement, and business transformation.
• Strong understanding of both traditional and adaptive project management approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
• Experience developing project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proven capability to drive teams toward decisions and solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Certification in Project Management, Agile methodologies, Lean, Six Sigma, Process Improvement, or related disciplines preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of experience utilizing industry-standard project management software and collaboration tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise PMO, program management, or portfolio management functions.
• Experience managing vendor engagements and third-party service providers.
