Senior Manager / Director, Estimating

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced estimating leader to support large, complex capital projects across data centers, advanced technology, life sciences, and semiconductor facilities.

This role will lead estimates from early conceptual stages through detailed execution, manage estimating teams and subject-matter experts, and provide clear cost insight to project teams, clients, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates for large capital projects
• Manage estimating teams across multiple regions and project types
• Develop cost plans covering labor, materials, equipment, escalation, contingency, and project risk
• Partner with civil, mechanical, electrical, procurement, preconstruction, and project delivery teams
• Review estimating methodology, assumptions, benchmarking, and cost-per-unit metrics
• Present estimates, risks, and recommendations to clients and executive leadership
• Support proposals, pursuits, project acquisitions, and preconstruction strategy
• Maintain consistency with established estimating standards and stage-gate processes
• Track market conditions including labor availability, productivity, travel, per diem, duties, and material escalation
• Mentor estimators and help build estimating capability across the organization

Ideal Profile

• 10+ years of estimating experience on large, complex construction or EPC projects
• Strong background in one or more of: data centers, semiconductors, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing
• Experience leading estimates from early concept through detailed design
• Strong understanding of estimating methodologies, contingency, escalation, benchmarking, and cost normalization
• Comfortable presenting to clients and senior executives
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to explain the basis of an estimate
• Experience leading teams and coordinating across multiple offices or regions
• AACE certification or similar estimating credentials are advantageous

Travel

Travel will vary by project 25% and may include periodic site visits of several days to a few weeks.
