Job Summary

SGT University, Gurugram is seeking an experienced Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager – Purchase (Maintenance) to manage procurement of engineering, maintenance, MEP, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and facility-related materials and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for engineering and maintenance requirements.
• Procure electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, MEP, civil maintenance materials, tools, spares and consumables.
• Source and evaluate vendors based on quality, price, service capability and delivery timelines.
• Obtain quotations and prepare comparative statements for commercial evaluation.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranty, AMC/service terms and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Facility, Projects, Stores and Finance teams.
• Develop and maintain approved vendor/supplier base.
• Manage procurement of AMC, repair, maintenance and service contracts.
• Ensure timely delivery of critical spares and maintenance materials to avoid operational downtime.
• Monitor vendor performance and resolve quality, delivery and service-related issues.
• Track purchase orders, pending deliveries, back orders and critical procurement requirements.
• Identify cost-reduction and standardization opportunities.
• Maintain procurement MIS and ensure compliance with procurement policies and audit requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate in any discipline; technical qualification/MBA in Supply Chain/Procurement preferred.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in hospitals, commercial buildings, hotels, facilities or infrastructure organizations.
• Strong understanding of engineering/maintenance materials and services.
• Good negotiation and vendor-management skills.
• Strong analytical and Excel/ERP skills.
• Ability to handle multiple urgent requirements in a time-sensitive environment.
