Associate Resource Manager

Job Summary

The Associate Resource Manager supports resource planning, staffing, workforce optimization, and capacity management across projects and business functions. This role works closely with project managers, delivery leads, hiring managers, and employees to ensure effective resource allocation, utilization tracking, and workforce forecasting while supporting business objectives and employee development.

Key Responsibilities

Resource Planning & Staffing

• Assist in allocating resources to projects based on skills, availability, experience, and business priorities.
• Support staffing requests and coordinate resource assignments across multiple projects.
• Maintain resource schedules and availability records.
• Ensure timely fulfillment of project resource demands.

Utilization & Capacity Management

• Monitor employee utilization and bench reports.
• Track resource availability and identify potential allocation conflicts.
• Support capacity planning and workforce forecasting activities.
• Recommend deployment opportunities to improve utilization rates.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with delivery managers, project managers, practice leads, and business stakeholders.
• Communicate staffing updates and resource changes effectively.
• Escalate resource constraints and staffing challenges as needed.

Resource Data Management

• Maintain accurate employee skill profiles, certifications, and project assignments.
• Update resource management systems and workforce planning databases.
• Generate regular reports on staffing, utilization, and capacity metrics.

Employee Engagement & Development

• Support career development discussions by aligning project opportunities with employee skills and aspirations.
• Track training and certification progress.
• Help facilitate employee movement across projects and practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, Management, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Resource Management, Workforce Planning, Project Coordination, Operations, or PMO support.
• Understanding of project lifecycle and staffing processes.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in IT Services, Consulting, Managed Services, or Professional Services environments.
• Knowledge of Power BI, ServiceNow, VCentral, SuccessFactor
