Sr Executive/Executive, Development

• Increasing donations; identify and qualify prospective donors.
• Support fundraising through special projects/ initiatives and solicit gifts as appropriate.
• Conduct Donor research and build a fundraising pipeline.
• Conduct a review of donors/prospect and support efforts to forge new relationships to build visibility, impact and financial resources.
• Draft and implement processes, workflow and SOPs for best practices in fundraising and donor relations.
• Prepare updates / reports for internal reporting.
• Track and analyse fundraising strategies, donors and giving trends.
• Ensure compliance to donor intent and data protection in gift administration.
• Plan and manage budget for events / activities.
• Coordinate and draft minutes for quarterly Fundraising Committee meetings.
• Write and produce compelling donor communications such as proposals, presentations, impact stories, gift reports and other donor-related collateral, and all required Fundraising Communications, including social media content.
• Engage internal stakeholders to conceptualise and develop communications collateral for fundraising and donor relations.
• Assist to develop and implement fundraising strategies to cultivate and secure funding from individuals, corporations, foundations and the public. These include initiatives, events, sponsorships and engagement activities.
• Plan and execute donor relations events and activities to steward donors with meaningful donor experiences and touchpoints.

Degree in Social Work, or a related field

Fundraising experience, including donor engagement in the non-profit sector, is welcome.

Strong command of English

Experience in developing and executing fundraising strategies will be a plus

Strong attention to details with excellent organizational skills.

Good research skills to thoroughly identify, assess, and engage potential prospects and donors.

Good customer service, interpersonal and communications skills.

Cancer is a leading cause of death by illness among children today. There are different types of cancers which afflict children, from leukaemias and brain tumours to sarcomas and others.

VIVA Foundation for Children with Cancer focuses on life-saving leading-edge research, medical care and education. We are racing against time to develop better treatments, faster cures and to make newer discoveries. We believe these would all translate into better survival rates with less late-effects for affected children.

The word "VIVA" is an acclamation for "long live!" and VIVA works to rewrite the future of children with cancer, as every child deserves to live and no child should die in the dawn of their lives.

VIVA works very closely with the world-renowned St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Tennessee, USA) with the ambitious aim of translating the high cure rates achieved by St Jude into Singapore and the wider Asia region.

VIVA’s work to save the lives of as many children as possible is supported by a small but growing group of dedicated partners, fantastic volunteers and kind-hearted donors.
