Location: Wilmington, MA

Salary: $110,000-$125,000 per year

Travel: 75%+

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Field Engineer to provide technical expertise and support customers in the field. This position will work closely with sales, engineering, and customer teams to solve complex technical challenges and develop engineered fluid system solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with fluid systems, instrumentation, process applications, and customer-facing engineering. This role requires significant travel and is best suited for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and working directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical expert for fluid systems, instrumentation, and engineered solutions
• Lead customer site evaluations, field engineering services, and technical troubleshooting
• Work closely with sales teams to develop solutions for customer applications
• Identify opportunities to improve customer fluid handling systems
• Develop P&IDs, assembly layouts, CAD models, specifications, and technical designs
• Support complex engineered solutions and custom applications
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and internal teams
• Deliver technical training to customers and internal employees
• Work across sales, engineering, and operations to solve technical challenges
• Maintain project and customer documentation in ERP, CRM, and other business systems
• Support continuous improvement and engineering best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related science field
• 7-12 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience in field engineering, applications engineering, or another customer-facing technical role
• Strong knowledge of fluid systems, instrumentation, and process applications
• Experience developing engineered solutions for complex customer applications
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work directly with customers and sales teams
• Experience providing technical training or mentoring others
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software; SolidWorks experience preferred
• Experience with P&IDs and technical drawings
• ERP and CRM experience preferred
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to travel more than 75%
