What they need

The Role

As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of our client relationships — installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IVD analyzers on-site, while also mentoring junior engineers and helping raise the technical standards of the team. This role suits a hands-on, client-facing engineer who takes ownership of equipment uptime and enjoys solving complex technical problems in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, and commission IVD analyzers (chemistry, hematology, immunoassay, and related platforms) at client laboratories.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to corrective/emergency service calls within agreed turnaround times.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electronic, and software issues on diagnostic equipment.
  • Train and guide client-side laboratory staff on proper equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate service records, calibration logs, and parts/inventory documentation.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Operations team, product specialists, and Supply Chain on parts availability and escalations.
  • Mentor and support the technical development of junior Field Service Engineers.
  • Ensure all service activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide timely feedback to clients and management on recurring equipment issues or improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, Electronics/Electronics & Communications Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience servicing IVD or medical/laboratory diagnostic equipment.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills across electronics, mechanical systems, and diagnostic software.
  • Willing to travel regularly to client sites within the assigned service area.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills and a professional, service-oriented attitude.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage urgent service calls with sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability — or clear potential — to mentor and guide junior technical staff.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Government-mandated benefits, Group Life Insurance and HMO coverage
  • Opportunities for technical training and career growth within a growing IVD company
  • A collaborative, supportive Technical Operations team
