Sr Financial Analyst

Work Schedule:

This position typically works Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional weekend or holiday coverage based on operational needs. Schedule may vary.

Responsible for providing exceptional financial support to assigned areas within the organization.  Ensures accurate financial results, analyzes variances, and identifies trends and opportunities. Partners with assigned leadership to improve operational results and financial performance. Provides financial support to staff, management, and executive leaders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. (T**hese duties are the core tasks and responsibilities of the position)

• Supports the month-end close process by analyzing results and variances vs. budget, forecast, and prior year. Prepares journal entries based on analysis performed.
• Develops, maintains, and improves monthly reporting.
• Provides financial insight through identification of trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepares accurate forecasts and annual budget by partnering with assigned operational areas and understanding business areas.
• Applies financial theory and concepts to provide business decision and capital investment analysis.
• Creates and updates business and financial presentations for management.
• Develops expertise in extracting data from various tools and transforming into analysis.
• Supports department managers and personnel in understanding financial results and key performance metrics, provides financial modeling, and fulfills ad-hoc requests.
• Leads and/or assists with process improvements and special projects, as necessary.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years related experience.
