Sr. Financial Analyst

Orange County, CA | Hybrid

6-Month Contract Opportunity

We are partnering with a large, established organization seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst for a 6-month contract engagement. This hybrid role will support financial planning and analysis with an emphasis on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, profitability analysis, and management reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong corporate finance background, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to turn complex financial data into meaningful insights for business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and period-end close activities
• Prepare revenue, profitability, and financial performance analyses
• Build and maintain financial models to support business planning
• Analyze key financial and operational metrics
• Prepare management reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
• Partner with operational and functional teams to provide financial guidance
• Support headcount planning and related financial analysis
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, forecasting, and FP&A processes
• Utilize financial planning and ERP systems to improve the quality and efficiency of reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 6+ years of corporate finance, FP&A, accounting, or related experience
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience
• Advanced Excel skills with strong financial modeling capabilities
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across different areas and levels of an organization

Preferred Experience

• MBA or advanced degree is a plus
• Experience with enterprise ERP and financial planning systems
• Experience with Adaptive Planning, Hyperion, SAP, or similar platforms
• Background working within a large, complex corporate environment

We're looking for a hands-on financial professional who can step in quickly and make an immediate impact. The right person will be comfortable balancing FP&A, financial modeling, forecasting, reporting, and business partnership while working in a fast-paced environment.

This is a 6-month, hybrid contract opportunity with a well-established organization in Orange County.
