  • Investigate cost variances, including freight, labor, materials, and other operating expenses, to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

  • Support the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and ongoing performance monitoring.

  • Prepare financial analyses and presentations for executive leadership, clearly communicating findings, business impacts, and recommendations.

  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Sales leadership to evaluate costs, margins, profitability, and operational performance.

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, financial processes, cost management, and overall business performance.

  • Support monthly financial reviews and preparation of management reporting packages.

  • Utilize Excel, ERP systems, and other reporting tools to organize, analyze, and present complex financial and operational data.

  • Take ownership of assigned projects and proactively identify areas requiring further analysis or attention.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of financial analysis or FP&A experience in manufacturing, warehousing, inventory management, logistics, supply chain, or wholesale distribution.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas, and analysis of large datasets.

  • Strong PowerPoint skills with experience developing and presenting financial information to senior and executive leadership.

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with data from multiple sources and independently develop meaningful reports and analyses.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate variances, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.

  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect financial results to operational activities and business performance.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability for work product.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a small to mid-sized manufacturing or distribution company.
  • Experience analyzing manufacturing costs, inventory, freight, labor, and gross margins.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
