Sr Integration Platform Engineer

Stand8 provides end-to-end IT solutions and staffing services to enterprise partners across North America, with operational presence in Mexico supporting a wide range of technology, engineering, and business roles.

Stand8 is seeking a Sr Integration Platform Engineer to support enterprise integration platform services across IICS/IDMC, Informatica MFT, Control-M, APIs, SFTP/file transfers, SQL, monitoring, and production support. This senior hands-on role will review integration failures, improve job operations, automate manual processes, and support the migration of Control-M jobs to MFT. The engineer will collaborate with onshore and offshore team members, provide technical guidance, and help transition responsibilities from an external vendor to an internal integration platform team. This is a six-month remote contract role aligned with the EST time zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support IICS/IDMC integrations, including:
  • Cloud Application Integration (CAI)
  • Cloud Data Integration (CDI)
  • APIs, processes, mappings, mapping tasks, taskflows, connectors, and schedules
• Configure and support Informatica MFT, including SFTP workflows, scheduling, monitoring, notifications, archive/error handling, and reprocessing.
• Develop and support Control-M jobs, schedules, dependencies, monitoring, reruns, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, data validations, and reconciliation processes.
• Implement appropriate logging, exception handling, retries, alerts, and operational monitoring.
• Provide senior-level production support across IICS, MFT, and Control-M.
• Monitor integration and file-transfer health and investigate failed or delayed processes.
• Troubleshoot application, data, connectivity, authentication, scheduling, configuration, and platform issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Support incident resolution and coordinate with application, infrastructure, database, operations, and vendor teams as needed.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, operational dashboards, and support procedures.
• Support deployments across DEV, SIT, Stage/UAT, and Production.
• Validate environment-specific configurations, connections, parameters, schedules, and file paths.
• Perform smoke testing and post-deployment validation.
• Maintain deployment procedures, rollback instructions, and supporting documentation.
• Support platform upgrades, Secure Agent changes, connector changes, and maintenance activities.
• Support the planned Control-M-to-MFT migration.
• Analyze existing Control-M jobs, schedules, dependencies, file-transfer processes, notifications, and recovery procedures.
• Configure and test corresponding MFT solutions.
• Support migration testing, reconciliation, cutover, and post-production validation.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize file-transfer and workload-orchestration processes.
• Maintain technical designs, interface inventories, runbooks, troubleshooting procedures, and deployment documentation.
• Participate in technical reviews and provide recommendations to the Lead Engineer.
• Cross-train with onshore and offshore team members across IICS, MFT, and Control-M.
• Ensure critical platform knowledge is shared across the team and does not depend on a single resource.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to offshore engineers when needed.
• Review existing integration and data-transfer processes.
• Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Automate manual processes.
• Improve job operations.
• Document data flows, integrations, and processes.
• Support the transition from the current vendor to the internal team.

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica IICS/IDMC.
• Experience with Cloud Application Integration (CAI).
• Experience with Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
• Experience with mappings, taskflows, processes, APIs, connectors, scheduling, and monitoring.
• Experience with Control-M job scheduling, dependencies, monitoring, reruns, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) and SFTP workflows.
• Strong production support and incident troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, data validation, and reconciliation processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with onshore, offshore, application, infrastructure, database, operations, and vendor teams.
• Ability to provide technical thought leadership and work independently.
• Ability to document data flows, integrations, processes, runbooks, and troubleshooting procedures.

Preferred (Optional):

• Experience migrating Control-M jobs to MFT.
• Experience supporting integration platform modernization initiatives.
• Experience with Secure Agent changes, connector changes, and platform upgrades.
• Experience supporting deployments across DEV, SIT, Stage/UAT, and Production.
• Experience with migration testing, reconciliation, cutover, and post-production validation.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment built on Informatica.
• Experience supporting knowledge-transfer activities from an external vendor to an internal team.
• Experience working as part of a distributed team across multiple time zones.
