Role Overview

Vehant Technologies is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in secure, mission-critical IT environments .
The role involves designing, managing, and securing IT infrastructure supporting Vehant s security solutions , including RD systems, production environments, and deployed customer systems.
Candidates with prior experience in private defence companies or regulated environments will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and secure enterprise IT infrastructure across Vehant locations and project sites.
• Lead administration of Linux and Windows server environments .
• Manage network infrastructure and security , including firewalls, VPNs, VLAN segmentation, and access control.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies , system hardening, and best practices.
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning .
• Implement logging, monitoring, and audit mechanisms .
• Support secure RD, testing, and production environments , including isolated or restricted setups.
• Coordinate with OEMs, ISPs, SOCs, and security vendors.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior IT team members.
• Lead incident handling, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs, architecture diagrams, and compliance documentation .
• Support internal and external audits, customer reviews, and compliance requirements .
• Act as a key IT stakeholder during customer deployments and critical project phases .

Required Skills Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in IT / Computer Science / Electronics .
• 5 7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / System Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with:

Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL)

Windows Server environments

Networking (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, VPNs)

Virtualization platforms (VMware / KVM)

• Strong understanding of security, access control, logging, and monitoring . critical infrastructure with minimal Strongly Preferred- Experience working with private defence companies, security products, or regulated environments .
• Exposure to:

Restricted / secure networks

Audit-driven IT environments

Endpoint security, DLP, SIEM, or log management tools

• Certifications (preferred, not mandatory):

RHCSA / RHCE

CCNA / CCNP

Security-focused certifications
