Make an Impact

• Architect and build enterprise solutions with Java 21+, contributing production-quality code for critical features and integrations.
• Lead the design of secure, scalable, high-performance cloud-native applications, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Develop prototypes and reference implementations that validate architecture choices and speed delivery.
• Set clear standards for architecture, coding, security, and engineering excellence.
• Document architectural decisions, APIs, system interactions, and integration patterns.
• Lead thoughtful code and design reviews that improve quality across teams.
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to translate business goals into maintainable technology solutions.
• Resolve complex production challenges and continuously improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Strengthen CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.
• Coach and mentor engineers through practical, hands-on technical leadership.
• Assess emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools and workflows.

What Will Set You Up for Success

• 8+ years of Java development experience, including 4+ years of significant architecture responsibility.
• Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
• Strong experience with JDBC-based data access, REST APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• A record of building microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong MySQL or Aurora SQL skills.
• Experience designing caching strategies, including distributed caching with local fallback.
• Cloud and platform experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling.
• A strong command of system performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• The ability to lead technical decisions from design through implementation.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience delivering in Agile environments.

Bonus Points

• Spring Cloud.
• Azure DevOps or a comparable platform.
• AI-assisted development tools, AI-enabled applications, data pipelines, or automation solutions.
• Generative AI concepts.
• ERP or supply chain platforms.
• Security frameworks and modern best practices.
• Legacy system modernization.

Education

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.

Salary & Benefits

This is a permanent, full-time, direct-hire hybrid role with a starting base salary of $130,000–$135,000 , DOE, plus an excellent comprehensive benefits package that includes:
