Sr. Java Developer Axway API Gateway Developer/SQL Data Migration

Role Overview
Support a data migration project for a corporate banking client, covering database migration to MariaDB, stored procedure conversion, SQL performance tuning, and supporting Java application development.
Key Responsibilities

• Migrate data and database objects to MariaDB
• Develop, convert, and optimize stored procedures
• Perform SQL tuning to improve query and batch performance
• Develop and enhance Spring Boot services and REST APIs
• Build and maintain Spring Batch jobs for data processing
• Support data validation and reconciliation (corporate data volume approx. 250k–300k records)
• Participate in testing, defect fixing, and cutover activities
• Prepare technical documentation

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and REST API
• Strong MariaDB/SQL skills, including stored procedures and SQL tuning
• Experience in data migration or database migration projects
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Preferred
• Banking or financial services domain exposure (corporate banking is a plus)
• Experience with legacy-to-new platform migrations
• Immediate availability preferred

Role- 2 Java & Axway API Gateway Developer

Key Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in Java development and API technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Axway API Gateway, Policy Studio, API Manager, and .FED deployments.
• Proficient in Java, Microservices, REST APIs, Maven, Git/Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in API design, development, deployment, and production support.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.

API Security Expertise (Mandatory)

• Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, including Client Credentials, Authorization Code, JWT Bearer, and Refresh Token flows.
• Strong knowledge of JWT token generation, validation, claims, signing, and encryption.
• Hands-on experience implementing and managing API security policies within Axway API Gateway.
• Experience with PGP encryption/decryption, digital signatures, key management, and certificate handling.
• Good understanding of SSL/TLS, mTLS, PKI, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and API threat protection.
• Knowledge of OWASP API Security Top 10 and enterprise API security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise APIs and integration solutions.
• Configure and maintain Axway API Gateway policies and security controls.
• Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and API protection mechanisms.
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams.
• Perform root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for API platforms.
• Support API deployments, governance, and lifecycle management activities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, Dynatrace, AWS, or Azure.
• Prior experience in banking, financial services, or large enterprise environments.
