Sr. Java Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Work Set-up: Remote
Shift Schedule: 9AM - 6PM PHT

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services.
• Build and enhance backend systems using Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database solutions.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product owners, and QA teams.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while ensuring system performance and reliability.
• Support CI/CD processes and automated testing practices.

Qualifications

Required

• At least 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred).
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Understanding and application of Design Patterns and software engineering best practices.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and testing methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience with MyBatis.
• Exposure to AWS and cloud-based solutions.
• Experience with Terraform and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with React or Angular.
• Familiarity with Jira and Atlassian tools.
• Background in Banking, FinTech, Digital Banking, or Financial Services.
