Sr. Lead Data Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Lead Data Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This role will lead the design and delivery of data-driven application enhancements that support insights and operational decision-making. You will partner closely with engineers and business stakeholders to estimate work, improve system performance, and ensure changes are fully tested before release. The position blends hands-on software engineering with architectural thinking, troubleshooting, and documentation to strengthen the reliability and maintainability of the company's data applications.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $140,000 – $190,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and estimate changes to the company's insights applications
• Develop high-quality modifications to application source code and architecture
• Deliver fully tested code prior to production deployment
• Troubleshoot bugs and issues in the application
• Coordinate with other engineers to ensure comprehensive changes meet business needs
• Recommend and implement enhancements to streamline processes and improve performance
• Maintain updated documentation of system and solution designs

Qualifications

• U.S. work authorization is required
• Technical B.S. degree in math, engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of professional software development experience
• 6+ years of experience with Python and SQL
• 6+ years of experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS
• Strong computer science fundamentals
