Sr Lead Engineer - I_ETL Testing

Job Summary

As a Senior Lead Engineer - ETL Testing, you will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and Cloud platforms. The role focuses on data validation, transformation testing, and quality assurance of data products.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test data for data pipelines.
• Validate ETL/ELT processes, including data mapping, transformations, and SCD models.
• Write and optimize SQL queries across multiple databases.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks using SQL.
• Develop Python scripts for test automation and data validation.
• Execute and validate SQL queries through Python across platforms such as Snowflake, Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Manage defects in lifecycle in logging, triage, resolution, and verification.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Healthcare SMEs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide regular status updates.

Educational Qualifications

• Engineering Degree - BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
• Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

Skills

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Experience in executing, monitoring, and validating Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, ensuring successful orchestration and data movement across environments
• Hands-on experience in ETL/Data Warehouse testing and data validation
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Azure Cloud services, Snowflake, and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Hands-on experience in data testing automation using Python, leveraging libraries such as Pandas, pyodbc, requests, SQLAlchemy, Azure SDKs, and database cursors
• Exposure to modern test automation frameworks, including Robot Framework and Pytest, for scalable and maintainable test execution
• Python scripting for test automation or data validation
• Knowledge of BI/report testing (Power BI, Tableau)
• Understanding of data models, SCD concepts, and data transformations
• Experience in test case design, execution, and defect management
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data validation
• Familiarity with tools like Jira/Azure DevOps
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Healthcare Domain Expertise (Mandatory)

• Exposure to healthcare domain, data governance, or compliance
