About the Firm
The Joe Stephens Law Firm PC, also known as 713 Axident, is a Houston law firm led by Attorney Joe Stephens, a board-certified trial lawyer with decades of experience representing people who have been seriously injured. The firm handles personal injury matters, including car and truck accidents, workplace injuries, premises liability, product liability, and wrongful death, as well as DWI defense.
Attorney Stephens is known for his commitment to his clients and his determination to see every case through. Our team works hard to make sure every person who contacts the firm is treated with care, respect, and honesty from the very first call.
About the Role

- Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence for attorney review
- Request, track, and review medical records and bills, and prepare medical chronologies and damages summaries
- Calendar court and discovery deadlines, and prepare filings through eFileTexas
- Schedule depositions, hearings, and mediations, and coordinate with court reporters and opposing counsel
- Prepare exhibits, deposition summaries, and trial notebooks
- Keep clients informed with regular, compassionate case updates
- Maintain organized, complete files in our case management system

- Strong organization, writing, and proofreading skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Experience with case management software (Filevine, Needles, SmartAdvocate, Clio, CasePeer, or similar), Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat
