  • Execute preventive maintenance, daily equipment inspections, and general work requests to identify deficiencies, address maintenance needs, and improve equipment reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair utilities, laboratory instruments, and equipment to restore functionality and minimize operational disruption.
  • Schedule and complete assigned preventive maintenance, repair, and utility-support activities in accordance with established priorities and operating requirements.
  • Document preventive maintenance, repair, inspection, and equipment-service activities accurately and completely to maintain equipment histories and support cGMP compliance.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to support equipment servicing, facility repairs, and timely resolution of maintenance issues.
  • Use appropriate maintenance tools, equipment, and technical practices to complete assigned work safely, accurately, and effectively.
  • Participate in on-call, weekend, overtime, and after-hours maintenance coverage to respond to operational needs and support continuity of facility services.
  • Determine appropriate methods and procedures for new assignments and provide technical guidance when appropriate to support consistent maintenance execution across the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and four to six years of experience in the maintenance trades, including trade knowledge in a specialized field or process, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance practices involving plumbing, carpentry, painting, equipment servicing, basic wiring, mechanical systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs using appropriate maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair facility utilities, equipment, and laboratory instruments within established procedures.
  • Ability to maintain detailed and accurate preventive maintenance and repair records in support of cGMP compliance.
  • Ability to work overtime or weekends when necessary and participate in on-call and after-hours responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience maintaining WFI, RO/DI, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Heating Hot Water Boilers, Backup Generators and process air, or comparable utility systems.

  • Experience performing maintenance work in a cGMP-regulated biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, or manufacturing environment.
  • Specialized trade training related to mechanical, HVAC, electrical, utility, or facility systems.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance and repair activities with vendors and contractors.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This role is a full-time onsite position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. unless otherwise stated by Supervisor. The employee must also have the ability to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary.

Compensation: We offer competitive compensation packages for this role, including a base salary, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

The compensation range for this role is $35.04 - $42.84 hourly depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer opportunities for career growth and development as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Who you are:

  • Your written and verbal skills are out of this world, and you communicate with clarity and confidence.
  • You have exceptional multitasking skills and an unparalleled attention to detail that ensure the smooth running of everything.
  • You are a master at building relationships, capable of establishing connections with anyone, be it team members, clients, vendors, or suppliers.

Physical Demands & Work Environment: In this dynamic role, expect a blend of regular activities like sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional physically engaging tasks such as lifting objects up to 25 pounds. The work environment might expose you to electrical shocks, toxic chemicals, vibrations, or loud noise levels occasionally. However, reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with different abilities to perform effectively, ensuring a supportive and adaptable work setting.
