Sr. Manager / Associate Director, US Payroll Operations

A Global Shared Services organization is looking for a Senior Manager/Associate Director who will manage US payroll operations and systems teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll processing while driving process improvements, system enhancements, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead payroll operations and systems teams, ensuring seamless payroll processing and issue resolution.
• Oversee payroll systems administration, testing, enhancements, upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
• Manage payroll projects and support strategic business initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, policies, and internal controls.
• Develop, coach, and mentor team members while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and process standardization.
• Analyze payroll metrics and trends to enhance service delivery and employee experience.
• Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and external stakeholders to support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 10+ years of payroll experience, including leadership experience in a large, complex organization.
• 8+ years of people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll operations, compliance, systems, and process improvement.
• Proven leadership, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing high-volume operations with a strong focus on accuracy, controls, and service excellence.
